I live in an area where the rocky hillsides meet the desert.
I wanted to show in this picture the two different poles in life: dark and light, cold and warm, peace and danger, life and death.
Our world is beautiful. Nature is immensely diverse. But it is not paradise all the time. The male quail is on the lookout. He will warn his flock as soon as he sees the danger, the rattlesnake, approaching too close.
